Hi, there is a typical sum in 2017 Raffles SA1 Maths paper which I found difficult to explain to P4 kids in model manner. It is easier to do it with Algebra but since it is strongly discouraged in schools at Primary level, I am looking for a model solution for the problem.
    The problem is
Siew Ping had $152 more than Tom at first. After Siew Ping gave $301 to Tom, Tom had 4 times as much money as Siew Ping. How much did they have altogether?
