    This question is taken from the Maths Builder workbook.

    Given a pitcher which can hold 3L and one which can hold 5L, how do you get 1L of water?

    Now I know the answer is simply filling the 3L and pour into the 5L, fill the 3L again and pour into 5L till full. What’s remaining in the 3L pitcher is 1L.

    But instead of giving the answer straight to the child, how would you guide her to arrive at the answer herself?
